Author Guidelines
Manuscripts must be submitted in English, written with sound grammar and proper terminology, and submitted only once to obtain a single submission ID number. Submissions to ENGINOM in Engineering Innovations (EEI) are handled entirely online through the journal’s submission system, where authors are guided step‑by‑step through the creation and uploading of manuscript files. A covering letter including the title and author(s) names must accompany the manuscript. Authors whose first language is not English are strongly encouraged to ensure idiomatic English usage before submission (consistent American or British usage is accepted, but not a mixture). The journal recommends Editage and Elsevier Author Services for English language editing if needed.
1. Submission Preparation Checklist
Before submitting a manuscript to ENGINOM in Engineering Innovations (EEI), authors must ensure that the following requirements are met:
- The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
- The submission file is in an editable format (e.g., Microsoft Word).
- All authors have approved the final version of the manuscript.
- The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in these guidelines.
- Figures, tables, and captions are included within the manuscript and are properly labeled.
- References are formatted consistently and include DOIs where available.
- The manuscript has been proofread for grammar, clarity, and technical accuracy.
- Ethical standards have been followed, including proper citation and avoidance of plagiarism.
2. Author Guidelines
ENGINOM (EEI) publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research in all areas of engineering innovation. Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts that demonstrate originality, technical rigor, and relevance to current engineering challenges. Submissions must be written in clear, concise English and structured according to international academic standards. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific integrity and quality. Authors are expected to respond to reviewer comments thoroughly and revise their manuscripts accordingly. The journal promotes transparency, reproducibility, and ethical research practices.

EEI Template
Manuscripts must be prepared using suitable grammar and vocabulary, and they can only be submitted in English. To receive a single submission ID number, a manuscript submission must be submitted once. A manuscript may not be considered if it is submitted more than once. A cover letter with the title and the name of the author or authors must be included with the document.
Manuscripts may be submitted as a single file in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx) to be used in the refereeing process; all figures, tables, and supplementary data should be embedded within the main manuscript file. There are no strict formatting requirements for initial submissions, but each manuscript must contain essential elements: Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Funding & Acknowledgement, Conflict of Interest, and Artwork/Tables with Captions. References must follow the journal’s specified format (see the manuscript template), including author name(s), year of publication, journal/book title, volume/number, and pagination; use of DOIs is highly encouraged.
Authors should use spell‑check and grammar‑check tools before submission. Manuscripts are assumed not to have been published previously (in print or electronic form) and must not be under consideration by another publication. Copies of related or potentially overlapping materials must be provided at the time of online submission.
3. Authorship Criteria:
Authorship should be reserved for those who have made a significant intellectual contribution to the research. Mere acquisition of funding or general supervision of the research group does not qualify for authorship. Each listed author must have made a substantial direct academic contribution to at least two of the four main components of a typical scientific project:
a) Conception or design;
b) Data collection and processing;
c) Analysis and interpretation;
d) Writing substantial sections of the paper (e.g., synthesizing findings in the literature review or results section).
All authors must have critically reviewed successive drafts and approved the final version, and each must be able to defend the paper as a whole (though not necessarily all technical details).
4. Order of Authors:
§ The person who made the major contribution and/or took the lead in writing is entitled to be first author.
§ Decisions on authorship order and acknowledgments should be made by the first author in consultation with co‑authors.
§ Those who made major contributions to analysis or writing (beyond detailed commenting) follow the first author immediately; differences in contribution size should be reflected in author order.
§ All other qualifying authors should complete the list in alphabetical order of their surnames.
§ Equal contributions among all authors may be indicated by a footnote.
5. Preparation of Manuscripts
Manuscripts should be prepared using a standard scientific structure, including:
- Title Page: Title, author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details
- Abstract: A concise summary (150–250 words) highlighting objectives, methods, results, and conclusions
- Keywords: 4–6 relevant terms
- Introduction: Background and research objectives
- Methodology: Detailed description of materials, methods, and procedures
- Results and Discussion: Presentation and interpretation of findings
- Conclusion: Key outcomes and implications
- References: Properly formatted according to the journal style
Figures and tables should be clear, numbered consecutively, and referenced in the text. Units must follow the SI system. Authors are encouraged to include DOIs for all cited references where available.
6. Article Types
Research Articles: Original studies presenting new experimental, analytical, or numerical findings. These should provide significant contributions to engineering knowledge, Review Articles: Comprehensive analyses of existing literature, identifying trends, gaps, and future research directions, or Technical Notes: Short communications focusing on innovative methods, preliminary results, or practical engineering solutions.
7. Copyright Notice
Authors retain copyright of their work published in ENGINOM (EEI). By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the journal the right to publish, distribute, and archive the work. Articles are published under an open-access policy, allowing unrestricted access and use, provided proper citation is given to the original source.
8. Privacy Statement
The names, email addresses, and affiliations entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any third party.
